For Children and Youth

Each year from September through June we offer three classes during Sunday Services for children and youth.  All classes are team taught by volunteer members and friends who have been trained by the Religious Education Coordinator.

Young Children (Preschool-First Grade, approx.)
Children (2nd through 6th Grade, approx.)
Youth (7th through 9th Grade, approx.)

Children will begin each Sunday Service in the worship service through the Story for All Ages after which they go to their classrooms.

The 2010-2011 Curriculum is:

Young Children:  We Are Many, We Are One
Children:  Jesus and His Kingdom of Equals
Youth:  How Can I Know What To Believe

Volunteer
Volunteer to be a part of a teaching team!  We ask our members and friends, particularly parents/guardians with children and youth in the religious education program, to volunteer to be teachers.  We can’t offer this essential programming without your help.  Coordinate with a friend to become a teaching team (two teachers in each classroom) and contact our Religious Education Coordinator for more information and complete the Teacher Volunteer Form.

Babysitting
UUCL offers parents of infants and children younger than preschool age free babysitting services while they participate in the Sunday Service.  The babysitting area is in the religious education space.  You can bring your child to the babysitter before or during services.  Please contact the Religious Education Coordinator for more information about our babysitting offer.
Occasionally UUCL holds intergenerational services, such as the Water In-Gathering service held every September.  There are no religious education classes during intergenerational services.  Babysitting is available.

For more information contact our Religious Education Coordinator.

Love is the Spirit of this Church. The quest for truth is its sacrament.

To dwell together in peace, to seek the truth in freedom, and to help our neighbors,

To these ends, we covenant, one with another.
